CUSCO - MAZUCO

At night we pick you up at your hotel to transfer to bus station, at night. Departure time we discuss before the trip. Overnight traveled approx. 06 to 7 hours by public bus, ascending to the highest pass of Pituhuaylla (4750 snm). Then descend to the Town of Mazuco (500msnm),

Day 1: MAZUCO - AMAZON MANU LODGE – COCHA PIRAÑA

We continue a half hour trip by car in two parts the first half hour of the Interoceanic and the second of 1 hour and a half on a dirt road to reach Colorado Village, (Gold mining place).

From this place we transfer to the boat, traveling up Madre de Dios River for four hours approximately and we will have a box breakfast served on the boat during our trip.

During this trip we will start enjoying the wildlife, such as all kinds of birds, mammals along the river banks, turtles, caimans and capybaras.

On arrival to the Lodge we will have a lunch, after this the Guide will gave an orientation session. After a short break we will direct ourselves to the Lake to explore this ecosystem, when the night comes we will turn on our flashlights to look for the black caymans. We come back to the lodge for our dinner. (B)(L)(D)

Day 2: MACAW CLAY LICK – COCHA BLANCO

We get up very early in the morning to take the boat to reach the Macaw Clay Lick, after 45 minutes of boat ride and 20 minutes walk, we access the Macaw Clay Lick platform, one of the most impressive natural behaviors, where the noise, the flights of many Macaws, parrots and Parakeets paint with a vivid color the forest and surround of the platform.

After this activity we will visit Cocha Blanco, the best and large Owbox Lake, searching for the family of the Giant Rover Otters, Black Caiman, and several species of birds that frequent the shores of  the Lake as well you will have a special experience enjoying a box lunch in the middle of the lake and nature. Day 3: CANOPY – TAPIR CLAY LICK.

Early in the morning we will do a short hike in the trails around the Lodge and access the metal tower, 31 meters high, to appreciate the canopy forest and the birds and monkeys activities.

At night we are going to visit the Tapir clay lick that is only 20 minutes walk from the Lodge, option to stay overnight in the platform that is equipped with mattresses and mosquito nets. Or return to the hostel after the activity that the average animal observation is from 21:00 to 23:00.  (B)(L)(D)

Day 4 - PUERTO MALDONADO.

Very early in the morning we are going to travel back to Colorado Village where we take our Car to Puerto Maldonado  Airport to take your flight back either Cusco or Lima.  (B)
